  • Support groups
    • Hillingdon Memory Service – assessment and diagnosis, support for patients and carers (01895 488800)

  • Memory cafes

    • Magic Table sessions- interactive games for patients and carers, (Uxbridge library, 01895 277798)
  • Living adaptations
    • Care Line- alarms, pendants, light sensors, door sensors
  • Training and education
    • Alzheimer’s society (written material, support groups)
    • Admiral nurses: advice and support to families, training to develop and enhance their care skills, change in behaviour etc Tel: 01895 556 480 (2 local nurses)
  • Respite
    • Caring with Confidence- Harlington Hospice. 6 week course to help carers develop skills and knowledge whilst patient is cared for by staff/ volunteers Tel: 0208 759 0453
    • Harlington Care- free sitting service based in Uxbridge, up to 2 hours a week 01895 258 888
  • Financial advice
